Kindergarten Graduation and more

Brad graduated kindergarten on May 19. Oh glorious day!!! I have to say that kindergarten was pretty lame. He went for 2-2.5 hours a day (one day a week of early out) and would come home with a good solid hour of homework. Which if I was a stay home mom, it may not be so bad. It was hard juggling work and homework and rushing to get them in bed on time. Well, it was more than hard. It was just plain torture! I'm glad I have another 2 full years before I have to do that with Ross. They had a big graduation. They had a program where they sang songs and told jokes. It was cute. They all got a certificate and shook the principal's hand. After the program, we went back to his room and took pictures and gathered his belongings.

Here Brad is in the middle in the white shirt and tie in the bottom row:

Here he is with his teacher, Mrs. Davis:

We are trying to get out of the house more, since there can be good days amongst all the rain and cold. We went and fed the ducks one day after church:

We went bowling on Memorial weekend.

I am trying to be a better crafty, do it yourself kind of mom. I did make this rainbow skittles cake for Brad's graduation (I got the idea from my friend Rachel's blog. She is so amazing and creative!). I think I might open my sewing machine box for the first time ever and sew something. I am almost done cross-stitching the quilt I made for Ellie (pics to come when it is done).

Ellie will be 5 months old on June 3. She loves eating her baby cereal. We recently gave her squash. She always loves the first few bites, then doesn't know what to think. Ben fed her this feeding of squash (hence why it is all over the place). She also LOVES bath time. She didn't like the infant tub, but really likes the big tub. Time seems to be going by so fast with her. It is hard to believe she is almost half a year old.

So fun to hear from you again. They don't give kindergarteners homework here, sorry to hear your son had so much. I love the picture of you and your daughter with her in the black dress. She is growing up so fast.

I love the blog posting hun! Ellie looks so cute in that black dress for Brad's graduation. It's hard to believe that we have a son that old already!

Love you!

Aw, you are too sweet. I'm not all that crafty, I just like to try. As for kindergarten, I am totally relieved too! Why do they have so much dang homework? I'm so glad that next year, Micah is going to be in a school that doesn't have homework until 4th grade!
