Cousins Visit through Ross's Birthday

In August, we were lucky enough to have my brother, his wife, and their 3 kids come stay at our house for a few days. Ross and Sadie were like best friends. Ross still insists that Sadie is coming to our house next week. (And even when next week comes, she is still coming next week. Maybe more like a year, buddy!) We really enjoyed having them. One fun thing we did was go to the splash park in Spanish Fork. It's not the best splash park I've ever seen, but, hey, it was free.

Ross started preschool in September. He was so excited to go. I have to pay to take him since he is not a special needs student. The special needs students get to ride the bus. I have to drive him, then wait for the bus to get there so Ross can walk in with all the kids. While we are waiting, he is still so excited. Then the bus arrived and his teacher walked out with a special rope for them all to hold. I walked Ross up there. His enthusiasm went right out the door. Suddenly he decided to play dead fish. I figured my presence wasn't helping, so I stepped back in order to let his teacher deal with it (figuring she would have to deal with it in the classroom if it persisted). So here Ross is as the line leader with his teacher pretty much carrying him in.

After Ross started school, I took a trip with Ellie to go to my cousins wedding in Minnesota. We flew out to Chicago so we could spend an extra couple days with my parents, and drove up to the wedding with them. Ellie was surprisingly very good for how much sitting and such she had to do. Sorry I don't have any pictures. I forgot my camera. Bummer!

Ross had his fourth birthday while I was gone, so we celebrated it when I returned. He got a new bike for his birthday, some Star Wars guys, Phineas and Ferb pjs, and airplanes. I love the picture of Ellie touching Ross's bike. He notices, so he pulls his bike away. The expression on his face was like, "Don't touch my bike!!!" She is 8 months old. Give her a break, kid. hehe Then we took the whole family to Jumpin' Jacks. They have bounce houses and such there. Ellie hated going down the slide with Daddy. The boys loved it. Brad spent a lot of time following around an older girl. Should we be worried that he tends to gravitate to older girls? Only time will tell I guess.

Ellie will be 9 months old in a couple days. She can self-feed (food and a bottle), she has no teeth, crawls, sits up from laying down, is starting to pull herself up, and of course is starting to get into trouble (see the cute pics below).
Here are some random (and cute) photos:

The picture where Ellie is dragging the laundry out of the basket is the best! LOL

That is a pretty nice bike Ross got. I can see why he didn't want his sister touching it. Ellie is so cute and is getting so big. It looks like she is a great helper - laundry and grocery unloading assistance, what more could you want? It's always fun to hear what is happening with your family. Keep the posts coming.

She is getting so big so fast. I can't believe she doesn't have any teeth yet! I wonder if it is different for them if they teeth later (easier or harder I mean). It must be nice to have some one on one time with Ellie while Ross is at school. Baby bonding time!
