Falling Leaves
I usually love my big mature trees. However, I hate them during Spring and Fall. In Spring, my biggest tree drops thousands of little seeds and little trees try to pop up all over my yard (front and back). In the Fall, there are SOOO many leaves to clean up. We are supposed to get a lot of snow this weekend, so Ben and the boys headed out right away to get the leaves raked. Brad and Ross took turns raking and sweeping the leaves off the deck and stairs. They did a great job. Of course they jumped in the pile many, many times (which made a lot more work for Ben) and loved it. Here are a couple pictures (and one random one of Ellie).

Then you would love my yard! If I don't rake every week once the leaves start falling, we would be burried! I love to rake, I think it is fun. I keep trying to convince the boys that they should advertise to rake leaves for people in the neighborhood. I am just glad we do not have to bag our leaves. That would stink, and cost me too many $$$ in bags. Which reminds me, I guess I should go move piles to the street!
I know what you mean about big beautiful trees dropping tons of leaves in the fall. We too have that raking problem. Karen planned a Girl's Activity Day service project for us and the girls all came and helped us on Friday afternoon. Saturday morning there were tons more, but the trees are almost empty. Yeah!! Boo WINTER! Ross helped rake last year. I know he's a good helper!
I forget what it is like out there sometimes. it has been so long! Plus, I don't actually own my lawn, so someone does the yard work for us. That must be a big job. I can't believe Brad is helping out already!
